1. What this site is
Great North Value (“we”, “the publication”) publishes independent research and commentary about publicly traded companies, assets and market themes, with an emphasis on Canadian companies for readers in the United States. We are a publisher. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, portfolio manager or promoter, and nothing on this site or in our emails is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
2. No personalized advice
Content is general information prepared without regard to any reader’s objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting on anything you read here, consider whether it is appropriate for you and consult a qualified professional. Investing involves risk, including the loss of all invested capital. Past performance of any security, sector or theme is not indicative of future results.
3. Accuracy and sources
We work from public filings, government data and other sources we believe reliable, and we cite them. We do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or current, and sources can change after publication. Each article shows its publication and update dates. If you believe something is wrong, tell us; corrections are reviewed and, where warranted, noted on the page.
4. Disclosures and conflicts
Our disclosure policy explains how we report ownership, compensation and sponsorship for each item. Where a review is incomplete, the page says so.
5. Subscriptions and email
The Great North Letter is free. When you subscribe we store your email address and the campaign code of the page you subscribed from; we send a confirmation email where email is enabled, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent subscriber lists. See the privacy policy.
6. Permitted use
You may read, print and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not republish articles in full, scrape the site systematically, or use the content to train or operate automated trading or recommendation systems without written permission.
7. Intellectual property
Articles, profiles, the Great North Value name and the mountain-and-maple-leaf mark are the property of the publisher. Third-party trademarks, including company names and tickers, belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher, its editors and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.
